Plot Summary:
Following a traumatic encounter with a serial killer, a
television news anchorwoman is sent to a secluded psychiatric
retreat known as "The Colony" to recover. However, strange
occurrences and bizarre residents at the resort lead her to
suspect that the secluded haven may be hiding a terrifying
secret. As she uncovers the truth, she discovers a dangerous
world lurking beneath.
Dad's Preview:
1981 was a good year for werewolves on film (American
Werewolf in London,
Wolfen). This movie follows
Karen White, a
reporter as she stumbles on a secret haven for lycanthropes. These 7-foot tall wolf beings,
unlike many film werewolves before them, are mentally still human when in wolf
form. This enables them to remain intelligent, cunning and selective in
who they decide to rip to pieces.
