Why watch this? It's
a pretty good film about werewolves hidden among us.
Plot Summary: When a
series of brutal, seemingly animalistic murders plague New York
City, detective Dewey Wilson is called in to investigate.
Partnered with a criminal psychologist, he initially suspects
terrorism but soon uncovers a deeper, more unsettling truth. His
investigation leads him to a group of Native Americans and a
disturbing legend about ancient, intelligent beings who operate
in the decaying urban landscape.
Dad's Preview:
NYPD cop, Dewey Wilson is investigating a series of grisly
murders in New York City. As the case moves along, one clue
after another starts to indicate that the killer may not be
human, but rather related to wolves. Wilson interviews a native
activist Eddie Holt, who coyly admits that he can shapeshift,
which makes him a suspect. This film successfully merges two
genres: police drama and werewolf horror. For all its expected
scares and brutal murders, the film manages to remain
intelligent and will leave you wondering about the true
relationship between America's indigenous peoples and
wolves since the early days.
