"I don't want to be
like anyone anymore. I want to be number one. An apex predator,
like nothing there's ever been before." –
Barbara Minerva (aka
Cheetah)
Why watch this? Gal
as Wonder Woman is always worth a look.
Plot Summary: This
flick is set in Washington,
D.C., and revolves around two main secondary characters. The
first is Maxwell Lord, a moral-less businessman, always looking
to seize power. The second is Barbara Minerva, a mousy museum
worker who can't find a way to be noticed. When Diana and
Barbara discover an artifact called the dreamstone,
Barbara is granted Diana's super-powers, and Diana's dead
boyfriend returns. Lord steals the dreamstone and creates a
world of chaos.
Dad's Preview:
This film has a lot in it, but it attempts an
impossible task - to outdo the original, which is one of the
best super-hero films every made. This effort is just not on par
with expectations. Bringing back Chris Pine actually detracts
from the film, and I love the actor. It just feels uninspired.
