Maybe it is better for everyone." -

Why watch this? This
film about the tragic Van Gogh, befits the artist, and itself
stands as a work of art.
Plot Summary:
A young man, Armand, is tasked with delivering a letter to Theo
Van Gogh. The post is from the man's brother, the artist
Vincent, who took his own life one year ago. Armand ventures to
Paris and learns that Theo died six months after Vincent. This
starts Armand on a journey to find out the true story about the
painter who left an impression on many people in different ways.
Some found him calm and rational, while others were taken aback
by his mood swings and non-social demeanor. There are also
questions around how Vincent died.
Dad's Preview:
There is something that
draws me to Vincent Van Gogh. The man's life is still an enigma.
Was he mad? Was he suffering from a mental condition or disease?
He appears to have been tormented, yet produced perhaps the most
recognizable paintings from the Post-Impressionist era. This
film, unique and stunning in its creation, addresses one version
of Van Gogh's story. Whether it is true is beside the point. It
is beyond belief that all frames, some 65,000 of them, were
hand-painted by 125 artists from around the world. Using
rotoscoping animation, a true cinematic masterpiece sprang
forth. Dear Vincent, wherever you are, I hope that you find some
peace knowing the impact that your art, and life, has had on so
many. Well done.
